1. Membership Probation is a two-week time period. When you decide to join Rome, state it on the message board who you are and the type character you will be portraying and then come into the room and participate as much as possible and begin to develop your role/character. Please place :

under or at the end of Your name so everyone will know your intent and so the slaves can serve you "fully". Work up a bio and an avatar that can be put up on the website (Mail these to rome_lw@yahoo.com) so that others can see what you are doing and so interact with you as seamlessly as possible. During this time it is a good idea to get to know all the Members you can and interact with them. If a slave or a Free catches your interest, now is the time to start up a relationship.

2. You will be expected to have read over the slave rules page as well as the food and drinks pages so you are familiar with how things are. You cannot interact well with the slaves unless you know their restrictions and what rules they must abide by.

3. You must have respect for the others in the room - free or slave. This place is for fun and role-play - *NOT* for acrimony, quarreling, ranting, vendettas and so forth. If there is a problem, take it to PM or ask someone to referee or take it to a neutral room elsewhere to work it out as others in the room are trying to play their roles and such is disruptive. Be warned...carry it too far and you may be booted. We are all adults in this room - act like it !

4. Try to keep out-of-theme remarks to a minimum or at least in PM. The convention right now for out of theme remarks are to place double parens around the statement - ((out of theme remark or statement)).  Please also look now for the OOC pulldown on your says to menu.  Remember, we are here to leave r/t behind and play a fantasy role - not carry it around with us.

5. Check the WEBMAZE Lost Worlds message board often.

6. Try to keep avatars/pics to the theme. Try to keep "modern clothes/lingerie" to a minimum. There is always someone around who has a good idea on where to find pics and how to make them for you.

7. Greet obs with respect and kindness, offering the web site and message board for them to look over, as well as making yourself available to answer any questions they may have in whispers.

8. No ghosting allowed if it goes beyond 15 mins, if its going to be longer please leave the room, too many times visitors enter while we ghost and get no response or acknowledgment and leave never to return as a result.

9. No slanderous rumors spread, keep your derogatory opinions to yourself and out of Rome, keep vt and rt separate.

10. No Free member may own more than two Completely Restricted Slaves.

11. Even though any may collar slaves that come into Rome all new slaves will be collared in a Rome tag for their two weeks of training. They will be officially owned by the Emperor until they are finished Training they will be placed at auction and placed up for sale.

12. This is a Roleplay Room and a Sexual chat room in its walls there are Bisexual men and women as well fully Gay and lesbians along with the straight and I don't not care what your feelings RT are towards these people or there life styles in Rome at this time it was excepted and normal. Because of the fact that Open Scene(meaning it is not against the rules to cyber openly)If there is scening that is not to your taste then simply don't read it.

13. The PM option will be restrained to RT convos or if you must RP in private then if someone enters the room as a visitor or another member, you must stop and greet them.  Unless you are stuck, there is no other excuse.
