Gladiatore Helmet

Gladiatore Rules
Of ROME

 1)  First and foremost is to always keep in mind that Gladiatore or not you are still a slave and will conduct yourself accordingly, keeping in mind the general rules for slaves as much as those here.

 2)  There will be rankings among the Gladiatore, including general trainers and those who train in a special style of fighting.  Being good in the pit is not enough to achieve any ranking above regular Gladiatore status.  Devotion to our Empire and Emperor shown in your overall attendance and behavior shall count as much if not more than fighting skills for consideration.

 3)  At this point in time Gladiatore slaves will still be expected to serve as fully as any other slave of the Empire.  They are not in some special category above any other slave in Rome, but are required to do serves, chores and please the Free in whatever manner it is wished of them according to the same standards given in the general slave section rules and pages.  Have a problem with this? You have two options.  Either don't apply to be a Gladiatore slave in Rome or help to boost the regular slave population so that there is a possibility that this requirement may change...MAYBE.

 4)  During the same 2 week probationary period all other slaves go thru you will face the same restrictions and be expected to show a certain level of fighting skills and will be required to spar the servus prima †hørš†ën {Imperial} twice, the first to show your current skill level and the second to pass to the next level of basic Gladiatore.

 5)  While we are taking female Gladiatore as well as male, keep in mind we are going to fight realistically and that Xena is a myth as are 6'+ Amazons in this time period. (Don't think you are being picked on.. Hercules as well as 7'+ tall men are myths also in Ancient Rome)  Because of this realization, female Gladiatore shall only be pitted one on one against other female Gladiatore except in training spars.  Pairs of female Gladiatore may be pitted against single male Gladiatore in regular and competitive spars.

 6)  Male Gladiatore slaves shall keep in mind the above stricture to the female Gladiatore and keep within realistic guidelines as to ability and size.  More shall be spoken of considering these guidelines on the page about realism in fighting as a Gladiatore.

 7)  Gladiatore slaves shall all belong to the House of Gladiatore and shall show this in a House tag tandem with their Roman tag of ~HG/RW~.  Their collars shall be considered not only to show who owns but who sponsors them as a Patron and it is that Patron Owner who shall receive all proceeds from any wins accrued by the Gladiatore slave and be held accountable for any expenses incurred in their training and upkeep.

 8)  Matches aside from some practise spars shall be arranged by either the Emperor, Patrons of the Gladiatore involved, servus prima or trainers in that order of authority.  These spars shall take priority and may not be refused by the Gladiatore to perform.  Nor shall Gladiatore issue challenges on their own to other Gladiatore tho they may petition those entitled to make such a match to arrange one between them and another Gladiatore.

 9)  Gladiatore shall not either impregnate nor become pregnant by anyone period.  We are here to fight not raise a family.

10)  Gladiatore shall accept injuries realistically and have them treated, but shall not have "accidents" nor shall they perform any sort of r/p which basically self-inflicts an injury.  Unlike the Free, you do not belong to yourself and therefore have no right to inflict damage unneeded on your Owner's property.  Injuries shall be the result of responding to an opponent's post and shall NOT be exxagerated for any reason.

11)  Rules and other issues shall be the business of the one's authorized to arrange the spars to agree to not the Gladiatore theirself.  Sparring rules for Gladiatore shall differ from the normal ones for Free Warriors and are on a separate page due to the nature of the combatants and the fact that fights in competitions are normally to the death (however, the death is as in the war games between rooms listed under the warrior pages, a specific time where the loser of the match shall not participate in any Gladiatore fighting or training, NOT a permanant end of your char).

12)  Always remember the golden rule: Thou shalt not argue with the servus prima.  The only ones able to override his word or instructions on matters concerning the Gladiatore are the Emperor of Rome or the Owner Patron of the Gladiatore involved.
