On these pages you will find information about herbs and plants used in Rome for healing.  Unlike other realms there are no magickal or miracle cures used by the healers in Rome.  Tho the general populus of the Ancient Roman Empire were believers in magickal healing devices, among other magickal and/or spiritual resources; that would be more in line with the doings of priests and priestesses, not healers in general.   All remedies and healing procedures listed here in these pages are common sense and taken from nature.  And tho also more exotic or revolting (depending on your outlook) ingredients such as snake skin, crushed jewels and urine, etc. were in common use in the time period, the possible harm as well as the lack of known efficacy to us in modern times coming from the use of such remedies  precluded their mention in these pages and use in our Home.

The herbs and plants used in Rome and listed on these pages are for v/t use only.  The cures found here are in most cases part of folklore, and used by Healer's of this time period.  Most of the herbs and plants can be found in herb gardens around the world still today.  But please do not use these pages for curing any ailment you might have real time, see a doctor or the alternative medical specialist of your choice.
